The Ann Rawlins Memorial Scholarship*
The late Ann Rawlins was a dedicated, passionate elementary school teacher focused on literacy and reading. After teaching in nine different school districts all over the United States, she retired from the Logan Elm School District in 2012 as a Literacy Coordinator. Upon her passing, Ann’s family and friends have established a memorial scholarship in her name to honor Ann's love for children and education.
The scholarship will be awarded annually beginning with the Logan Elm High School Class of 2020. The scholarship is intended to give assistance to first year college students who are likewise dedicating their lives to the community. Students will be able to apply for this $1,000.00 scholarship through the Logan Elm High School Guidance office. The winner selection will be made by members of the Logan Elm Education Foundation Scholarship Committee.
Preference will be given to students entering the field of elementary education. In the event there are no applicants pursuing elementary education majors, applicants pursuing secondary education majors will be considered for the scholarship. In the event that there are neither elementary nor secondary applicants, the $1,000.00 monies may be awarded to literacy programs in the Logan Elm School District as determined by the Logan Elm Education Foundation and school administration.
Family, friends and colleagues may make private donations to this memorial through the Logan Elm Education Foundation.
Checks may be made out to the Logan Elm Education Foundation (LEEF), The Ann Rawlins Memorial Scholarship and sent to the Kingston National Bank, 301 North Court Street, Circleville, Ohio 43113 or the Logan Elm Schools District Office, 9579 Tarlton Road, Circleville, Ohio 43113.
All donations are tax deductible.
